Keeping Animals in Homes
Sometimes an expensive surgery or medical procedure can cause an owner to surrender an animal to a
shelter. What a heart-wrenching decision for a pet owner to make. Hearts and Hands 4 Paws can help reduce overcrowding in shelters by helping with veterinary expenses. Assisting medically is a vital part of our mission in our effort to prevent difficult decisions for the owners of their beloved companions.
Maybe a pet has fallen behind in grooming due to financial circumstances these services are expensive but necessary for some breeds to ensure the animal is comfortable and healthy. Heart and Hands 4 Paws may be able to help perhaps with something simple as providing resources for affordable, available groomers.
Heart and Hands 4 Paws will provide a list of resources in the communities to assist with food, litter, affordable flea and tick medication, and various other necessary things needed to keep pets healthy and in homes where they are loved. Financial assistance for costly prescription food is much needed in some cases, keeping animals in homes with full bellies.
If a behavioral issue(s) with your pet has left you feeling helpless and considering giving up, maybe Hearts and Hands 4 Paws can help by providing resources and financial assistance for a training session. Sadly, sometimes the only choice for some is to let a pet pass peacefully. If an owner is in the position of having to choose euthanasia without the resources to pay, Hearts and Hands 4 Paws may be able to provide financial assistance at this devastating time for a pet owner.
Hearts and Hands 4 Paws board members will review requests submitted via an online form and grant resources when appropriate and funding is available. We do not give money to animal owners or caretakers. If approved, we make payments directly to the service provider.
