Eligibility and Assistance Types
Eligibility – owner and companion animal must be in the U.S. and need assistance. If you require medical assistance for cats or dogs, we will require and assist with the spay or neuter unless the veterinarian states it is not medically prudent. We will require you to give the service provider permission to speak with Hearts & Hands 4 Paws board members.
We prioritize the residents of the Mid-Ohio Valley Counties: Calhoun, Jackson, Pleasants, Ritchie, Roane, Wirt, and Wood in West Virginia and Washington County in Ohio.

Urgent diagnostic testing, broken leg, torn ligament, etc.

Euthanasia (Medically required due to severe illness or no quality of life as determined by a veterinarian)

We do not cover the following services: declawing, cropping of ears, tail docking, or dewclaw removal (unless medically necessary), or procedures completed prior to requesting and receiving assistance approval.
FOOD
TRAINING

Training is limited to a one-on-one training session for aggressive behavior. We do not aid with emotional support training.
