These are some of the faces of animals we have helped as we progress toward the sixth-month mark of our idea to start a nonprofit. We need support to continue our life-changing work! We have also donated funds toward Paws Squad's spays and neuters.
Archie, who was adopted through ARF, needed emergency surgery after adoption due to ingesting 70 hairbands prior to being surrendered.
Furball from Logan County needed to be neutered and vetted so he could go to rescue instead of facing euthanasia.
Malachi from Pleasants County Humane Society needed a large horrible looking tumor removed and other medical care.
Sometimes dogs are in flight mode or unsocialized and it is impossible to catch them without a trap. Logan County had just such a scenario. And thanks to your support we were able to purchase an extra-large dog trap to help a wonderful group, who does such great things with minimal resources!
Leela from Ritchie County Humane Society needed to have an eye removed. She was found under a rock outcrop and it was not known what caused the injury to her eye.
River was found along the road in terrible condition. She was taken to the Ritchie County Humane Society Initially the thought was she had been hit by a car but the veterinarian said she had been abused and neglected. She was so underweight that she had to be nursed back to health and gain at least 10 pounds before she was healthy enough to have the required surgery to remove her damaged eye.
Penelope from the Animal Disaster Relief Coalition had been treated horrendously by someone who had partially amputated one of her legs and tail.
Brady from Ritchie County Humane Society desperately needed medical attention. He was so full of worms that he was at least 11 pounds underweight. As you can see the tumor on his paw is so large he cannot set his paw down.
This poor cat was found after being shot and her organs were starting to herniate.
